The Many Rooms of Ms. Kim’s Remodel

Ms Kim's Master Bathroom Remodel by Tinley Park Kitchen and Bath Shoppe

While we may be a One-Stop-Shop, that doesn’t mean we stop at just One Room! For Ms. Kim, she had given us the task of one Kitchen and two Bathrooms to tackle. And we did not disappoint!

Ms. Kim’s Kitchen is looking brand new! Here’s a rundown of what we were able to do for her:

Out with the Old:

  • Flooring stayed put, but everything else had to go!
  • We bid farewell to the old cabinetry, counters, plumbing, and appliances (except for that trusty microwave!).
  • The drywall got a complete overhaul, along with the crown molding, baseboard, and shoe molding.
  • Say goodbye to the old light fixtures, too (except for that microwave-friendly one)!

In with the New:

  • We’ve installed new outlets and switches for convenience.
  • The walls got a fresh layer of drywall, and the cabinetry and trim were installed according to our design.
  • Her kitchen now boasts stunning quartz countertops with an undermount sink, complete with a shiny new faucet.
  • Baseboard and shoe molding were added around the perimeter.
  • And let there be light! We’ve installed undercabinet lighting for a bright and airy feel.

The Master Bathroom is now Ms. Kim’s personal spa-like oasis! Here’s the lowdown on what we’ve done:

Out with the Old:

  • We bid adieu to the old vanity, sink, faucet, mirror, light fixture, and toilet.
  • The tiled walls in the tub alcove, along with the tub itself, were removed.
  • See you later to the cabinets and countertop in the makeup area, too.
  • The bathroom floor tile and underlayment got the boot, except for the area in front of the makeup area.
  • And that old exhaust fan? It’s gone, replaced with a new lighted one!

In with the New:

  • Your shower now boasts a cozy can light, and the electric has been relocated for optimal lighting.
  • We’ve installed a snazzy new Ditra-Heat thermostat for added comfort.
  • The shower got a major upgrade with a new valve, diverter, and soap/shampoo niches.
  • New shut-off valves, ceramic wall tile, and floor tile were also installed for a fresh look.
  • Your bath cabinetry is now in place, along with a sleek lighted mirror and a convenient Bi-Fold door.
  • And let’s not forget about those stunning quartz countertops with an undermount sink!

The Guest Bathroom is now the epitome of relaxation! Here’s what we achieved for Ms. Kim:

Out with the Old:

  • We kept the tub but said goodbye to the bathroom door and old vanity, sink, faucet, light fixture, and toilet.
  • The tile alcove walls and ceiling tile were removed, along with the towel bars.
  • And that outdated exhaust fan? It’s been replaced with a new lighted one!

In with the New:

  • Your bathroom now features a sleek pocket door and a beautifully framed mirror.
  • We’ve installed new tile backer, bath cabinetry, toilet, faucets, and shower/tub valve trim for a fresh start.
  • And let’s not forget about those gorgeous quartz countertops and the shiny new shower door!

And we can call Ms. Kim’s railing project officially a success! Here’s the scoop:

Out with the Old:

  • We said goodbye to the old picket and railing, but we kept the base.

In with the New:

  • Your railing now boasts a new starting newel, 22 fresh pickets, two rosettes, and a sleek railing end.
  • And of course, it’s all been painted/stained to match your existing flooring and doors!
