Janet’s new bathroom can look almost black in photos—but in person, the rich cobalt cabinetry is absolutely stunning.
Designed around a striking palette of rich cobalt blue, crisp white, and polished chrome, this bathroom blends bold color with timeless finishes to create a space that’s both elegant and inviting.
The custom Bertch vanity, finished in Paintable Cobalt with the classic Walker door style, immediately draws the eye and serves as the centerpiece of the room. Paired with a Vicostone Marino quartz countertop and Kohler’s Yepsen translucent glass sink, the vanity offers a beautiful mix of color, texture, and light that feels both contemporary and sophisticated.
Throughout the shower, handcrafted tile selections bring warmth and character to the design. Daltile’s Artcrafted tile in Coconut provides subtle texture, while Roca Tile’s Tabarca Marino field tile introduces rich blue tones that beautifully complement the cabinetry in a herringbone pattern. A Soho White & Cloud Blue basketweave mosaic from Virginia Tile adds another layer of visual interest across the floor, tying the entire color palette together with timeless style.
Polished chrome fixtures from Kohler’s Elate collection create a clean, refined contrast against the deep blue cabinetry, while the Kohler Highline toilet and coordinating accessories carry the cohesive design throughout the room. Behind the scenes, Schluter® DITRA-HEAT radiant floor warming adds everyday comfort, making the bathroom as enjoyable to use as it is to admire.
Every element was carefully selected to balance bold design with everyday function, creating a bathroom that’s uniquely personal while remaining timeless.
And then there was Simba...
While photographing the finished project, Janet’s orange tabby decided the vanity made the perfect place to supervise the photoshoot. Between posing for the camera and investigating the newly remodeled space, Simba even paused for a drink from the running faucet, clearly giving the remodel his official seal of approval.
